Day 7 - Letters to Santa

This was by far the best Advent Activity we have done.  The kids loved it...and the suspense overnight was too much for them.

I purchased a Santa Letter Writing Kit from Phoenix Trading which came with writing paper, envelopes, stickers and glitter powder.  One for each kid. I love Phoenix Trading cards and products.  They are reasonably priced, unique and have a card for every occasion.   http://store.phoenix-trading.com.au/web/corp/

The kids had so much fun writing their letters and deciding what they wanted.  Holly wants some drums, a guitar and a mop!!  Phoebe wants some drums and some chippies.  I asked the girls what they thought Hunter wanted and they said a guitar and a soft toy.

Phoebe with her finished product
The girls were so proud of their letters. They wanted extra photos of the finished product.

They posted them in a special post box which I told them Santa had given me for their letters. I purchased this from Ezibuy. I think it is really cute.

Then we had to wait for Santa's Elves to collect them. It was great. The kids were so easy to get to bed as they knew the Elves would only come while they were asleep. Holly kept "ssshhhh"ing us all as she thought she heard them coming.

The letters from Santa arrived

When they woke up in the morning they discovered their letters gone, and letters for each of them from Santa (thanks NZ Post!).

Holly delighted at all the Elf Dust over the mantal

Phoebe opening her letter from Santa...don't you love the bed hair.

They couldn't believe it. How magical.

Holly showing us the Elf dust

They thought the Elves were very mischievous leaving so much Elf dust around the house (aka glitter). Holly rubbed it all on her Kindy t-shirt so she could show all her teaches and friends at Kindy.

I really enjoyed this activity. The kids loved it even more. I love their innocence.
