Me and Flat Stanley are on the swing. 

We got some pine cones, they are for the Fire. 

Me and Flat Stanley are by the cave at the end of Cooks Beach. We went in Dads boat.

We are looking at Lonely Bay. My mum made Flat Stanley a life jacket so he was safe. 

Flat Stanley is in my life jacket so he didn't blow away. I was fishing. I got a lot of big bites. I nearly got a big fish.

We went to Nanny and Poppas in New Lynn. They looked after us because mummy and Daddy went to a funeral. They were gone for ages. 

I watched the surfing with Flat Stanley. 

My nanny taught me how to play Silent night on the piano. My mum was so proud of me. She was so surprised. I think Flat Stanley had a good time at my nanny and Poppas.

I remembered to take Flat Stanley on holiday to Cooks Beach. We are staying at my Nana and Grandads bach. 

My Dad went fishing on the grass outside the bach. He caught a snapper and we got to keep. We had it for tea. There was a storm so he couldn't go out on his boat.

This is my Nana and Grandads bach. 

I built a sandcastle for Flat Stanley. But some boys broke it down. I didn't know them. 

 

We went for a walk to the ice block shop and I got a packet of lollies. I tried to feed Flat Stanley a lolly. My brother Hunter laughed. 

My Dad went out in the boat and the got three snapper and 11 kahawai. We had fish again for dinner. My sister Phoebe tried to put Flat Stanley on the fish but I didn't want him to get all gooey. I touched a fish eye.

Lily came over for morning tea. Then she went home. Then we went to the skate park with my friend Jade and Lily was there too. It was lots of fun. Flat Stanley is having fun.

On Monday it was Charlottes birthday and my friends came over. We had a party. Ava Nico and Paige stayed for dinner. We took a funny photo with Flat Stanley.

I took flat Stanley to Jades house. I met the Easter bunny. 

We cracked eggs on each other's heads for good luck. It was fun. Cooper won hit because he got the golden egg. 

We got lots of eggs from the Easter egg hunt.

My name is Holly and I am putting some photos on my blog of me and Flat Stanley.

I made Flat Stanley on Monday at school. 

I am looking after him in the holidays. 

When my Sister saw him she wanted one     So my dad traced it for her. She has called hers Flat Manley. 

Elmo's Got The Moves

So the other weekend my girls danced in their Dance Showcase. I was so proud of them getting up in front of over 300 people and doing two dances. What really surprised me was how confident they were, and how much they loved being on the stage. 

After threatening to cancel their dancing lessons prior to the showcase because they weren't practicing...I am thrilled it how much more excited they are about dancing. 

Their class dance was to an Elmo song. They wore the cutest Elmo pants...with his face on their bums. And cute red caps that I managed to pick up for $2. 

As a special treat for the kids at the following dance lesson, I made them all Elmo cupcakes. Admittedly not my tidiest work...but the kids loved them!

Happy Valentine's Day

Today we made cupcakes...banana and chocolate.

Holly wanted to make some cookies for her Kindy teachers, but we had so many aged bananas to use up, I thought cupcakes would be a better option.

We boxed each teacher an individual cupcake. And made up special labels for each box! Each label had "I'm Bananas About You" and a picture of a couple of monkeys with Holly's head superimposed on top.

Holly was pretty pleased with the results!

Advent...Day 27...The End

Today we finish! And it's only appropriate that we finish with thank you's.

I think it's very important if people have taken the time and effort to buy us a present that we officially thank them for it.

Today we wrote out our thank you cards...most of them as its a little hard keeping her that interested for so long!

The cards were made by Holly and printed by her Kindy as a fundraiser. I think they look really cute. I wish I had ordered more!

Advent...Day 26...Boxing Day

So Christmas is officially over!

Today was great. Just relaxing and checking out new presents. It's been a busy month so it's nice to take some time out.

Today I sent an email to the kids from Santa. They were so excited to receive it. Attached to the email were four photos of Santa in the house!!

I wanted to do this for the kids as one of Holly's wishes in her letter to Santa was that he would come into her room while she was asleep and ding her Jingle Bells. So in her photo...that's what she thinks he's doing!

I took photos of he kids while they slept on Christmas Eve. Then this Morning I added Santa to the photos on the Capture the Magic website. Www.capturethemagic.com

I'm pretty pleased with the results...and the kids were blown away!!
